Veterans of 1971 war and next of kin’s of causalities would be felicitated during the passage of the victory flame in Rohtak.

Rohtak: To commemorate 50 years of India’s victory in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war and mark the commencement of Swarnim Vijay Varsh, ‘DOT ON TARGET’ Division is all prepared for the halt of the Victory Flame at Hisar which was handed over to Indian Army by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 16 December 2020 at New Delhi.
The Victory Flame has reached Hisar Military Station on 15 Dec 2021 and received by Major General Devindar Kumar, General Officer Commanding DOT ON TARET Division. Victory Flame will be traversing through Rohtak on 19 January 2021 to remember the sacrifice of soldiers who belonged to this district. During the stay at Rohtak, a ceremonial event has been planned to felicitate the veterans and Veer Naris and to exhort all to reminisce the bravery of the martyred soldiers.
During the events, the veterans of 1971 war and Next of Kins of battle casualties will be met and felicitated during the passage of the Victory Flame, signifying that the nation remembers the supreme sacrifice made by these courageous soldiers and that this tremendous victory was possible because of their supreme efforts.
