Standing like Rock behind farmers: Haryana Khaps

Rohtak: Expressing full solidarity with the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha leadership holding protests on Haryana-Delhi borders, the Haryana khaps on Friday said that they have full faith in the leadership and they were standing like a rock in ‘Kisan Andolan’.

Representatives of prominent khaps held a meeting at Jat Bhawan in Rohtak today.

Sombir Sangwan, head of Sangwan khap and independent MLA from Dadri said that an emergency meeting of khaps was called today and they all have united and resolved to continue their unconditional support to the farmers’ protest.

Talking to media, Sangwan said that the manner in which the flag episode took place at Lal Quilla despite heavy security raises several questions on the role of government. He said that the real face of the current regime stood exposed after finding connection of Punjabi singer Deep Sidhu with BJP leaders.

He said that farmers from each village across the state would reach with food and water to sit in protest and give support to the agitation.

Hooda khap bans BJP-JJP leaders

The members of Hooda khap today gathered at Makdoli toll plaza and held a panchayat to give their support to ongoing ‘Kisan Andolan’. The Hooda khap announced that volunteers from all the villages under their jurisdiction would assemble to reach on Haryana-Delhi borders to support ‘Kisan Andolan’. The khap also announced to stop the entry of BJP-JJP leaders in their village.

Protest at Toll Plazas boosted

In reaction to the Gazipur border episode in which BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait gave a call to mobilise support for ‘Kisan Andolan’, the residents of several villages today assembled at Makdoli and Madina toll plazas in the districts. Om Prakash, a farmer said that they were witnessing massive support to the agitation today and each member vowed to continue their support to Delhi border agitation also. Meanwhile, tractors bound for Gazipur-Tikri-Singhu borers were witnessed passing from toll plazas from Punjab and Haryana districts to extend their support.
