Chandigarh: Haryana Medical Council Panchkula has felicitated Chief Medical Officer Dr. Randeep Singh Poonia for controlling deadly Coronavirus in Faridabad district during pandemic. He was felicitated as a Corona warrior. Dr. Poonia was transferred from Jhajjar to Faridabad district four months ago when the COVID-19 cases were peaking up at the latter.
With his utmost dedication, the Faridabad district health department team not only combated Corona cases but the recovery rate also improved substantially. Only after his transfer to Faridabad, a dedicated COVID care centre was developed which enabled the infected patients to get their reports without coming to the district civil hospital. Doctor visit planning was also executed at home isolation for the infected patients under his leadership.
Extending thanks to the Medical Council for the felicitation, Dr. Poonia said that infection has again started raising its sting, the people should follow the norms laid down by the government to help the health department in combating the virus.
