Rohtak: The Central Bureau of Investigation Team produced accused Kuldeep Hooda, superintendent in Central GST department in Rohtak in a Panchkula Court.
Hearing the CBI team, the Court sent the accused on four days police remand.
Busting the racket of corruption, the sleuths of the Central Bureau of Investigation have arrested one official of the Central GST department in Rohtak, after the officials of the latter department demanded bribe after framing in a tax evasion case.
A six-member CBI team raided the Central GST office in Rohtak on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
The CBI team reached a residence in Sector 3 in Rohtak and seized some goods and a red bag from there. Sources claimed that there is an amount running in lakhs of bribe found in the red bag.
One accused has been arrested by the CBI, three are absconding.
The CBI team arrived at the anti-evasion branch at the second floor of the Central GST office at Delhi Bypass road in Rohtak at around 10.15 am.
The six-member CBI team is still camping in the GST office.

The complainant Manoj Kalra, had contacted CBI with the complaint that the Central GST officials allegedly demanded bribe from him.
Acting on the tip off, they confirmed the details of the complaint first and then laid a trap and carried out a raid at the residence of one of the accused on Friday night that continued till Saturday afternoon.
The four accused were identified as Gurvinder Singh Sohal, Kuldeep Hooda, superintendent in the CGST, and two inspectors Rohit Malik and Pradeep. They were booked under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption and Section 120 B of the IPC.
Sources said that upon seeing the CBI teams, the accused tried to offload the cash bag on the road and on the rooftop of neighbouring houses. The drama continued as the accused kept throwing money and the CBI sleuths collected the cash. However, the incident could not be corroborated as neither local police or CBI sleuths got ready to speak to media on this matter.
